Care Bears In Action: Jed Ryan and Joe Mannetti

This week the Candi and Randy show is proud to welcome Jed Ryan and Joe Manetti. Joe Mannetti is an actor and public person known mostly for his connection to males in the LGBT communities who identify as "Bears." He won several Bear titles while living in California including Mr. Southern California Cub 2006, Mr. Long Beach Pride Bear/Cub 2008, Mr. Los Angeles Bear 2008, Mr. Southern California Bear 2008, and Mr. International Daddy Bear 2009 at one of the last IBR events held in San Francisco, CA. His contest appearances led to Bear photographers seeking him to pose for several pin-up galleries on websites. Joe used the spotlight to promote fundraising for HIV/AIDS support services, organizations that help LGBTQ youth, outreach and improved services for Transgender people. Jed Ryan is Mr. North American Bear 2012... Mr. Rawhide NYC 2011... Freelance Writer/Photographer... Winner, Stonewall Society Pride in the Arts Awards "Reviewer of the Year" 2005 and Pride In the Arts "MOJO" Award 2010... Featured Writer, PM Entertainment Magazine, 2004-present... Entertainment Editor, Dish Miss, present... Member, Board of Directors, OUTmusic, 2007-2009... Writings and/or photos have appeared in Long Island Pride Press (LIPP), Outlook Long Island Magazine, Rainbow Community News, Mid Alantic Pride Press (MAPP),Out Magazine, and The Archive: The Journal of the Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation. Jed and Joe are part of Care Bares in Action a fundraiser that will take place on Sept 29 for the AIDS project in New Haven.
